Why Should I Even Blog

Why Even Blog? 

That sounds like a pretty legitimate question right? There are the people that pound the phone they pound the doors or they buy leads every day.  

They have to start at zero and have to reach quotas every single month

If you do not build a brand if you do not create conent then that is pretty much what you are faced with.

By opting into my news letter (below) you will have access to information that I wish I had when I was learning about this strategy.

I used to put the blog out there ( not consistant ) and get a couple of leads, fast forward to today I put content out there on a regular basis  and I get leads...consistantly

If you get 20 to 50 leads a day means you dont  need to really go out and prospect... so fast forward to the future... the plan is to get over 100 leads per day... just from the blog...

I know of a Marketer in our nitche that is getting 600 to 900 leads per day just from his BLOG!

So what does that mean? Well what does that mean if you montize your blog correctly that means money...

There are multiple strategies out there and quite frankly there are people that simply are not making money with their blogs.

You can do this and it wont interupt your multiple streams of income. You want to make sure that your businesses are congruent and non compeating.

If you start blogging you are going to get people that are searching for your content... 

Why They Buy

Before someone buys they research? So you are intercepting all that search traffic, you dont have to be a info marketer.

If there is a nitche I can tell you I would personally start blogging and yes you too can dominate any niche...

Nobody makes sales from a 5 year old email, however you can make money with a 5 year old blog post! 

You can get affiliate commisions on a product or services that you have blogged about years ago. 

It's evergreen

Paid advertising works and you want is to create something moret then what you are putting however this I do know once you stop paying it goes away.. not with blogs it's evergreen content

Using a Call To Action Image Successfully In Every Post For Success

A lot of people will use the bottom of the blog post who utilize pictures mostly just to attempt to connect with others ... there is a difference between just putting up a picture and having a specific call to action... which one you think is going to get more clicks.... Remember I always say

Make everything you do as a stand alone lead magnet...


By using a call to action image this will help people to click on what you want and then take that image and put it out on other social media outlets...


Getting Images for your blog is critical yea you could risk having some copyright  infringement and or illegally swipe a image off the internet but most the time it's the wrong size which means you have to go into your favorite imaging program and edit the picture...

Enter Canva this creates something specifically for your blog (many many are free) and depending on your style you can click on it and edit... you can upload a picture ( own image )

So you can pick a picture or even import your own photo! You can overlay text on your image! This is a totally free tool... you can post the image, pin it, tweet it, email it. You will want to play around with this!

You can do so much as far as adding the text image and using it to send people with a specific message over to a capture page the picture of me and the ambulance does nothing to help me and if you were to click it would not take you anywhere.... This is what you do not want to do... The next

Where all the money starts with the blog basics 3 Things that will make your blog stand out

  A blog is a central hub for your business if you want to be here for the long haul build credibility a way to show your skills then this is critical... I want to share with you the blog basics , this is so important to get the leads and sales.

I have not seen any top earners who are online and don't have a blog...

Why blogging? Think when you go to Facebook when you go to look and see whats going on? You will see blog posts. Do you know one of the main things people come to FB is to socialize and consume content!

With a blog there are two types - self hosted blog or a free blog through word press



Put your name on the blog ( brands yourself ) look at my blog AskScottLindstrom.com I am branding me. Its your logo your face there is a form for a way to generate leads and there is a training videos... Content ... banners to generate leads

The First this is YOU... Your Brand So this has to do with all about you YOURNAME.com this is vital I see marketers make the mistake of branding their company or product... why?? Your company can go out of business your product could be dropped... The only constant is you...your logo, your own logo. When you come to the Blog you get a instant feeling of trust.

The second this is keeping it clean... It should not look like a garage sale and should be very easy to maneuver in place. Its set up in a very clean way. Your Story tab - very important that people know you ( know like and trust you )If you have got a lot of stuff on the sidebar with stuff... banners and videos and  one of the things you want is not to confuse the prospect...

The third is the about you page. The about you page is your story people want to know who you are and what your about what are your goals with this business? People look at you to see you and who you are... trust me My blog the page the gets the most views is my about me.

The form on the left (sidebar) is a way to capture name and email. You can have it on the right as will as long as you have a way to get email and name.

Remember

The ultimate goal here is to generate leads from it and it lets you connect with other people...

How easy is it to setup a blog there are a couple of things you can do is go to a site called Wordpress.com the only pro is you can have it up fast the cons is you are limited functionality... If wordpress does not like your content they can delete your blog... You want to own your business assets and own what is rightfully yours!

Dont let you being cheap cost you a fortune in the future...

You want a self hosted as your own blog because you need to control your own business...

The other way is worpress.org and get the software to self host your own blog... Wordpress provides the software and install on your own server... ( Host Gator ) or ( Blue Host ) I recommend Blue Host and you can get a free domain name... and set it up...

You want to turn your blog into a lead gen (generation )  machine...

Your blog is the center of your universe

You need to have a system like create the capture pages and the other money maker is your Youtube Channel. You get all these social media platforms and you point them back to your blog
and the Blog when people click on things you make money...
Drive people back to my blog I want them to get to know me... when you optimize your blog you will get leads...

How To Have A Successful Blog Awesome Tips Any Blogger Can Use

I want to give you some flat out awesome tips on how to have a successful blog and making it the best it can be when it comes to blogging. THIS POST IS GOLD in my opinion because you can get some nuggets...

I am not a professional blogger... I simply have my own blog and I write content on a regular basis. There are many ways you can set up a blog so there is no reason not to have it... It's a important element of business... it's residual. Rather then go sit one on one with one person where is if you set it up right it can continue to be a digital asset that produces over and over and over again.

I would rather spend my time blogging once  then doing a 1 time event over and over again.( like a presentation )

I love talking about this subject,  I have associates that are 6 and 7 figure earners making a killing with their blogs.So I wanted to help you with a  couple of Tips that can help.

What to BLOG about ?

The big questions is I don't know what to write about so I wanted to give some ideas for you

• People Love Reviews if you do a review on a person, product, or really anything... 
• Lists - top 10 xyz,  the top 20 xyz,  my top 3 
• Tag team on news stories If you can type current events and bridge things 
• Tips and Tools 
• Events do a blog before the event ... during... and wrap up 
• Interviews 
• Giveaway 

Step Up Your Blogging To A Whole New Level !  

Tools  You Must Use 

Use the keyword tool or ad-word tool this is how I find keywords that will be useful 

I look for low hanging fruit normally around the 500 range..  

Come up with a title that will have the keyword in it. I will have the keywords 10 - 20 percent of the article so 1 keyword  for every 100 - 150 words.

Picture - Do not use copyrighted material you want to have a featured image... you want to have a picture and save or tag the photo and it can drive traffic if they click on Google Images. 

Pictures are powerful pieces of content all by themselves so much they made a websites called Pinterest and Instagram... 

You Must have some sort of call to action or a call to action or a way to capture the reader after they have come to your post. Always tell the reader what you would like them to do! Go here, click there and connect ect, ect, ect. 

A video - If possible now think we have the visual video, the written word, and a picture and a call to action these 4 things are a recipe for the perfect blog post. 

So how can I use this to my advantage if I am a Network Marketer? Let's say you have products that your distributors are constantly asking you for the how and the way...take the 10 most frequently asked questions about your business and the 10 most frequently should be asked questions and  do a blog post put a video in it and send the link to your new distributors when they ask you a question now the have the information as if you were to be on the phone stuck answering questions for how ever long it takes you to explain. 

Overall Blog Improvement

So how to improve your BLOG POST ? How do we make it look, hear, feel smell and taste good... try to appeal to as many senses in each post as possible because each of us responds well to different things 

If you are going to use a fact or quote from someone don't be a tool and make sure you give credit to that person... If you do talk about someone that makes them look great and it makes him or her look great. 

Don't be general be specific as you can. Search engines love to look for whats closely matched to what the customer wants to see. 

Facts tell stories sell... if you are going to tell a bunch of facts then take them and turn it into a story and use action verbs and action words (example rather then say the tree was big) the mighty oak was massive!

Remember 

Repeat keywords ( don't stuff em ) 

Put it on I tunes... 

Optimize it... 

Give a call to action...

put other links to blogs in the same blog post 
Do Social Media re purposing 
Do community blog D - Net TV 
Forums 
Create the blog post with Wordpress (self hosted) 

How to get Peeps to see your posts?

Leave comments on other peoples posts leave your website It helps their blog and go show them off. Promote others... leave comments on peoples blogs. Do a testimonial for a competitor ... what ? Yep ... This world is a world for collaboration not compensation . If you have a lack mentality then you are going to be be reserved and not promote other as much... There is more in the world then you can possibly imaging 

Re Purpose Content 
Re-purpose, Re-purpose and Re-purpose  In fact.. If you only  new what I am going to do is show you something that will blow your mind. One of the top bloggers he made a little course on how to make $100k or more in 12 months using this exact strategy! My jaw hit the ground after I got this course and since then I make it a point to take my blog and distribute it to key places where it can be picked up elsewhere... and the best part its under $100 bucks ! 

In closing I hope I have shown you a couple of ways on how to have a successful blog now it's totally up to you. I cannot stress there are two points that I can give you that if you are reading this then you found the nuggets... Post often... every day or every other day on a consistent basis...
Get your blog up a.s.a.p and start posting! Don't worry about all the bells and whistles or that you don't have the perfect header or right graphics, you can figure that out later.

So I was going over some content and I about fell out of my chair.It literally hit me like a ton of bricks...

I decided to check my Alexa rankings this is the entity that tells you what rank a website is in the world. This is what I saw as of 12/ 21/ 2012 on the website Alexa.com

All I can say is WOW!

Two things I know from looking at this

1. This SUCKS !
2. I know I will never be this low ever again!

I don't even rank enough for them to compile any data on me!

I found a way recently that can dramatically help me in my efforts...
When you find yourself looking at other peoples blogs
do you stop to look at how pretty is is? What colors they use? How about where the sidebar is located?

I mean all these things are important but fail in comparison to the thing that is going to push you through the ceiling... You know we see these successful marketers and we wonder gosh they must be super human they must be very smart.. wrong... they had determination.

I learned how a homeless guy living in a van in Hawaii did blogging and became the biggest internet marketers out there..  No I am not trying to be a follower. However living in a van sometimes sucks!

So back to want I wanted to go into the #1 strategy on how to increase traffic to your blog...

OPM no its not that song OPP from the 90's 

It's literally a way to STEAL content from other marketers.. The goal here is that we want to try to create content on a CONSISTENT BASIS.

You got to keep your list engaged by sending them content on a regular basis... 

Look at the other blogs how often are they updating their content? It's like every other week maybe once a month... But I don't like writing content... great when you get sick and tired of it and you are making a ton of money Outsource that and have a writer post blogs for you... 

We are taking about 4 X a week... you can write a post like this or you can use the method I am going to describe here to get ideas.

I am literally going to share with you a golden nugget that can shave months off your learning curve 

I am implementing this strategy as of today and will be going forward.

• READ 5 BLOGS A DAY 
• PICK YOUR FAVORITE 
• POST YOUR FAVORITE PARAGRAPH 
• WRITE WHY YOU LOVE IT  ( a paragraph or so ) 
• LINK BACK TO THE ORIGINAL  ( always give credit ! ) 

So you are going to be bettering yourself in addition to creating content !

You do 2 or 3 posts of your own content and or do 2 or 3 with the method described above. 

Let's pretend that you create content 5 days a week x 5 blogs a day is 25 blogs per week x 4 is 100 blog articles a month! Very few people in your niche read that much content... If you want to put yourself in the top 1 percent of bloggers in your niche start by reading the top 5 blogs in your niche and that will rocket ship you and your mind past everyone...

NOBODY IS DOING THIS AND HAVING THIS LEVEL OF DEDICATION 

Ray Higdon is in my opinion one of the best bloggers when it comes to our niche market his blogging course is a must have for any blogger out there! The man creates content daily. He is a 7 figure a year money earner! The funny part he was a 6 figure a year money earner and his blog sucked !

The One Biggest Question Bloggers face

In this post I want to go over a couple of things and I listen and take notice of what people are asking questions as it relates to blogging

Well I am not only going to cover the one burning question but go over some of the most common questions I get on a regular basis...



So without further adieu lets jump right into is shall we

the # 1 question as when it relates to blogging is ( drum-roll please )

What Do I Blog About? 

You need to zero in on an Niche Market and it should be a very tight nitche 

if you are reading this it should not be network marketing and or internet marketing 

and it is somewhat saturated niche.

You need to tighten down your nitche... it has to be a extremely be a tight niche.

Passion is what is going to drive your niche

Tip : - Don't call people after 8:30pm  - 9 pm at night... talk to your best leads on the phone or whatever the case my be. 

The #1 productive thing you can do in this business is to talk to people that are genuinely interested in your business... talk to people that are interested... 

Consistency - There is a number of reason's why people are so successful in this business.
this a heavy battle for number 1 but its defiantly in the top 2.
If you treat your business like a part time gig it will always be a part time gig...

A great example of this is Ray Higdon, ( Rayhigdon.com ) he  has produced a piece of content every day for  5, 6 even 7 days a week for a handful of years now.

He shares not the most cutting edge information but he is constant. 

If you are passionate about something it will get you over the hump over something that you would otherwise not want to really go after...

If you are passionate you are going to share about it. 

So #1 is You Niche Market must be SUPER TARGETED...

Once you run through your passions who and what you are... Go blog about your company... ( If you can ) If you are involved in a company that wont allow you to talk about them or blog or share anything about them on social media... FIND A NEW COMPANY !

Now don't write a article about how great your comp plan is. What you need to do is sell product and recruit others who sells products.

Blog about the products within the companies... suggestion to some of the older companies and write about each product and each one and be careful not to make claims.

Tip: Even if you product cures cancer you cannot say it...

A blog on a company is a great way to go... Internet Marketing is too broad but Internet Marketing for Facebook theres a niche... or Email Marketing for Internet Marketers there is another niche.

Bring it down to a targeted level... There is no set rule that says you don't have to go off topic every once and a while.

Your prospects will be better connected... what if one new person was viewing your blog and exposed to what you are saying...

GET OUT OF THE COMFORT ZONE and do it... and do it via your blog.

Think about solving problems through your blog... Think about
"How can you help?"

Think you go to a search engine and you need to get is solved instead of going to Google have people go to you... be specific...

I think personally everyone in internet marketing and network marketing should have a blog a ( YourName.com )
