AskScottLindstrom.com - "Helping Internet and Network Marketers build a business while having a life."

There are mistakes that are out there that you are making every day in your business that is literally chasing prospects away causing people to click off, x out or simply leave your site after they go to it.

Most blogs make 1 of 3 major mistakes... remember it's a important piece of real estate
and its most simple form a blog is an online business card...

Take your blog to the next level...

If you are just starting out remember that it's not important that you get everything perfect right away but that you just get going...

The number one reason to have a blog if you are a marketer is to

1. To Capture Leads Optin form that has a strong reason to have your lead...
There are number of different ways to get people to opt in...

( as a resource go check out MLMBlog.net )

Have a opt in form on the side with a compelling offer...

Or a catchy banner that people simply click on...

Or a pop up or pop out ... to get conversions...

When you create offers for blog solve a specific problem and help people what is the offer going to do for them...

Sidebar have too much stuff going on...

Take a minute and think objectively and give some thought what do I want my brand to look like.
( look at Ray Higdon's blog @ www.rayhigdon.com ) this is an example of a great blog...

Create something similar to this..

2. Make sure that your blog has a value statement and what they are going to get when someone comes to you'r blog.

3. POSTING FREQUENTLY!!!  Blogging is a long term strategy... it's a powerful strategy and you should take this seriously...

Not only from a SEO perspective but It draws people back in.

Never let a more then a week go by without a post... I make it a point to post every day / other day and stick to a schedule.

One of the other strategies is to let people know that you have fresh content I mean by
shouting out to the world that you have fresh content and that you got something to share
Via Social Media outlets and email...

One of the things (http://sethgodin.typepad.com/) blog is know your audience and have people see how you write and condition people to your writing style... I have seen Seth use once 2 paragraphs
but look at the response that he gets.

Check out different bloggers and what ever style... you can do whatever you want the main thing is consistency .... consistency is for you and content is for others.

So if you get just those 3 things then everything else will fall into place.
